what is pilates and why do I NEED it?

Q: What even is it?
Mind-body connection is a vital element of pilates. Facilitating each movement with conscious breath to resist against gravity and sometimes actual resistance of apparatus or a machine. The mindful approach to movement allows for precise muscle engagement - as alignment is of the utmost importance.
Q: Okay, but why is it any different to a yoga class or a functional workout?
Pilates is beneficial for the entire population as it is: low-impact, treatment to recover to movement post injury or trauma, and complimentary training when paired with strength or conditioning programming.
Q: How can it change my quality of life?
Overtime, with pilates in your weekly routine you will see:
Daily movement become less painful - bending over, reaching high, carrying kids or groceries with EASE.
You will FEEL taller.
You can lift weights more EFFICIENTLY and therefore lift heavier.
For athletes, you will move more EFFICIENTLY and ERGONOMICALLY.

It’s okay if you’re feeling a little nervy to try something new!
But as founder Lauren says, “you’ve got to try something three times to know whether you love it or hate it!
So, book your first sesh now…

“You won’t regret going to Lauren… well maybe halfway through, but after you’ll feel SPICY and FRESH ”
